Mother and stepfather arrested in horrific child murder case in Swat

A shocking incident has emerged from Swat where police say a mother, along with her second husband, murdered her 3-year-old daughter and buried her body in a remote area.
According to police officials, the child was allegedly strangled in a hotel room in Mingora. After the killing, the body was wrapped in cloth and later buried in a pit in the hills of Amankot.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Swat stated in a press briefing that the accused, identified as Inamullah, had married the woman, Azhra, after she was allegedly divorced from her first husband, Nisar. Police claim the couple later involved the woman in criminal activities.

Investigators revealed that the child, named Tamanna, was allegedly considered an obstacle in their unlawful activities, which led to the tragic killing.
Police said the breakthrough came when the suspects were initially arrested in connection with a motorcycle theft case after CCTV footage helped trace them. During interrogation, they confessed to multiple crimes, including the murder of the child.
Authorities further recovered 14 stolen motorcycles from their possession during the investigation.
Following their confession, police acted swiftly and recovered the body of the child from the burial site, after which it was shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
The case has sparked widespread shock and grief, with authorities continuing further investigation into possible additional criminal activities linked to the suspects.
